Dr. Marlo Barber serves as the Media Specialist at Heritage Academy. She is a native of Atlanta and a proud product of the Atlanta Public School System. Dr. Barber became interested in becoming a media specialist while working as an MTSS (RTI/SST) Specialist. Serving in that role allowed her to see on a greater scale the importance of children being able to know how to read. Dr. Barber has been in education for more than 20 years and has always been an avid reader and lover of books. She wants to instill the same love she has for reading in children.

During her spare time, Dr. Barber enjoys being with her family, reading, traveling, watching sports, walking, and doing Zumba.
